Vulnerability scan Reporting

Hello, Can some one walk me through the proper way of generating a readable html report after a vulnerability scan has been completed? I attempted to create on via the found issues - highlighting all issues on the issue activity tab, right click and report issues. I followed the wizard and chose html as the format. However, the output report is not formatted and readable in html. The output saves as an all file type and when trying to force open with a browser it opens and displays html coding - where as I was expecting a graphical clean HTML report. Am I generating this incorrectly?
