Visual glitches on Windows

Tanguy | Last updated: Aug 04, 2023 02:08PM UTC

I usually work on a Linux host but to take the exam for the certification, I installed Burp Suite Pro on a Windows host. I experience visual glitches that render the app unusable. It usually occurs after a few minutes of switching between tabs and menus. Re-installing the app did not solve the problem. Screenshot of the bug : https://i.postimg.cc/ZKbSXCwc/burp-glitch.png

Hi If you launch Burp with the option -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false, does this change the behavior? If you launch Burp using the CLI, this can be added as part of the CLI command. If you use the installed version of Burp, this can be added to the vmoptions file in your installation directory.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I tried lauching Burp with the CLI and the given option but it didn't fix the problem.

Hi There are some other things we can try to troubleshoot this issue, but first, we need to know a little bit more about your setup. Can you please email the output from Help > Diagnostics to support@portswigger.net? Also, can you please confirm the display settings you're using in Windows?
