[v2020.1+v2.1.07/macOS 10.15.3] Embedded browser health check failed

Manuel | Last updated: Feb 04, 2020 08:46PM UTC

In both the latest v2020.1 version and in the previous 2.1.07 one, the embedded browser health check failed with the attached error: it looks like the libGLES/libEGL libraries are expected to be of some other size. Image => https://i.imgur.com/r2u0BNV.png Diagnostics => https://pastebin.com/raw/bAMJVnwN It looks like this prevent the "Render" tab to properly work most of the times, but *sometimes* it works by rendering on a newly opened render window by pressing the button inside the tab.

From your diagnostics data, I can see that you are using the platform installer version. Could you try using the .jar standalone version and see if you still get this issue?

Hi Hannah, i can confirm that running the .jar standalone version is definitely working as expected as all checks pass just fine: it still renders in a newly open window and not inside the tab, not sure this is by-design? -- I've used Oracle Java 13.0.2: java.runtime.name Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment java.runtime.version 13.0.2+8 java.specification.name Java Platform API Specification java.specification.vendor Oracle Corporation java.specification.version 13 java.vendor Oracle Corporation java.vendor.url https://java.oracle.com/ java.vendor.url.bug https://bugreport.java.com/bugreport/ java.version 13.0.2 java.version.date 2020-01-14 java.vm.compressedOopsMode Zero based java.vm.info mixed mode, sharing java.vm.name Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM java.vm.specification.name Java Virtual Machine Specification java.vm.specification.vendor Oracle Corporation java.vm.specification.version 13 java.vm.vendor Oracle Corporation java.vm.version 13.0.2+8 jdk.debug release

Rendering in a new window is by design, but will become integrated with tabs in an upcoming release.

Hello , I recently solve my problems , - Install apt install openjdk-8-jdk. - change your java version 11 to 8 ( https://attacomsian.com/blog/change-default-java-version-ubuntu) - don't use installer file - run with jar file
