Url decode shortcut doesn't work

Kevin | Last updated: Apr 27, 2019 09:03AM UTC

Hello ! I have an issue with burp suite professionnel . The shortcut ctrl+shift+u for url decode doesnt work. If I change the shortcut for this action it works I ask a few friends and the bug seems to be on everyone. Thanks

Hi Kevin, if you are on Linux and using Gnome, the keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+U will be used to insert a Unicode sequence on a system-wide level: to disable this you probably need to twiddle with gsettings. FYI, it does happen on my Gnome too (arch linux), but this isn't happening in Kali Linux in Java applications.

Hey Kevin, I know its been a while since you posted this issue but I believe I found a fix. I was having the same issue, and in case someone else find this thread, you could try the following. In my case, I'm using Kali linux and CTRL+SHIFT+U is bind to insert unicode. Solution: This shortcut can be changed or disabled using the ibus-setup utility: 1. Run ibus-setup from the terminal (or open IBus Preferences). 2. Go to “Emoji”. 3. Next to “Unicode code point:”, click on the three dots (i.e. ...). 4. In the dialog, click “Delete”, then “OK”. 5. Close the IBus Preferences window. Reference: https://superuser.com/questions/358749/how-to-disable-ctrlshiftu
