Updated to new Burp Suite community edition and getting an error visiting any site while using burp's browser or any other browser proxied through burp.

If you send a request to this endpoint (or any others) in Burp's Repeater tab, do you receive the same message or does it successfully connect? You can quickly generate a Repeater request by copying the URL of your target site to your clipboard, then in Repeater, right-clicking and using "Paste URL as request". After that, you can press the "Send" button to issue the request.

Hi If you use a browser not proxied through Burp, are you able to access the site? Do you require a proxy to access the site? If so, you will need to configure this under "Settings > Network > Connections > Upstream proxy servers".

Hello. I'm having this same error. ```Burp Suite Community Edition Error Unknown host: portswigger.net ``` I've updated my burpsuite but I still get the same error. I cannot access any URL from burpsuite's browser. My proxy is set to 127.0.0.1:8080

Hi Samuel, As noted in the post above from my colleague, is there a proxy in place in your environment that controls how you are making outbound connections to the internet?
