Unable To Render Response

Quentin | Last updated: Jul 13, 2020 03:13PM UTC

Hello, I get the message "Unable to render response" or "Embedded browser initialization failed" when viewing the Render tab. I've tried running as root and a regular user. As a regular user, the embedded browser health check says "Checks completed with warnings Unable to created headless browser with sandbox" OS: Kali 2020.1 Burp: 2020.6 Build 3105 How do I fix this?

nvm, I figured it out The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /home/kali/BurpSuiteCommunity/burpbrowser/83.0.4103.116/chrome_sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755

Hi There have been some updates relating to this issue since 2020.8, can you please let us know if you see this issue if you use the latest version, please? If the issue still exists can you let us know what OS you have?

I get the following error when I press render: Could not connect to browser. What can I do to solve it?

Hi Eduardo, Are you encountering any issues using the embedded browser itself on your installation? Are you able to launch the embedded browser via the Proxy -> Intercept -> Open Browser button? If you carry out an embedded browser health check (via the Help -> Health check for Burp's browser menu item) do all of the tests pass successfully?

Hi Ben, since Eduardo didn't reply I use this as a chance. I have the same Error. When I try to start it manually Proxy -> Intercept -> Open Browser button I get this Error: ``` net.portswigger.devtools.client.n: Refusing to start browser as your current configuration does not support running without sandbox ``` Unfortunately I run Kali ARM Image on a Macbook M1, I have a feeling this is related as it forces me to use the .jar version of Burp Suite Pro.

Hi Timo, We do not currently fully support using Burp on ARM64 so there is likely to be issues in attempting to run the embedded browser on this architecture - just to clarify, you are seeing this particular issue when running Burp on your Kali ARM64 machine?
