Hi Vara, Are you able to provide us with the exact error message that you are seeing? If it is easier to do this via a screenshot then please feel free to send us an email at support@portswigger.net and include the screenshot on the email.

Hi Nishant, That error generally indicates one of two things. Either the chrome.exe is not present in the directory or, as is normally the case, something on your machine is blocking the chrome.exe from running (this is normally an anti-virus or similar). If you check the listed directory and the chrome.exe is present is there likely to be some software in place on your machine that would be preventing the executable from running?

having the same problem. i see chrome.dll and the directory and no anti-virus is blocking it

Hi Matanel, To confirm, you are referring to the Chrome.exe file being present in the directory, is that correct? If this file is present, and you believe no other software on your machine is preventing the executable from running and the browser launching, if you double click the chrome.exe file (whilst located in this directory in Windows Explorer) can you confirm what happens? Does the browser launch or do you see a similar error message being returned? Running the Chrome executable this way should be analogous with running Chrome as a standalone browser, independently of Burp, so it would be useful to know the outcome of this test.

Hi Miguel, Can you please send your diagnostics to support@portswigger.net? You can find this by going through Help> Diagnostics Can you also attach a screenshot of your browser health check? You can find this by going through Help> health check for burp's browser This will give us more information about your setup so we can better assist

Hello, I have the same problem after updating to Burp Suite version 2024.9.2 It shows the following error: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\Users\Ahmed Tarek\AppData\Local\Programs\BurpSuiteCommunity\burpbrowser\129.0.6668.71\chrome.exe": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified When I go to the specified path, the folder is empty. The chrome.exe file isn't there anymore (by the way, it was there before the update).
