Support Center Watch + Vote feature

Hi, I would like to ask if there could be a way in the future to flag some issues not reported by myself but rather other people, which I could subscribe to to receive an email with any new comment. So like "Watch" functionality. I can see many things which I would be interested in tracking, but I can't do so at the moment. Also, I lack a Vote (or +1) button, which people could use to say "yes, I have to same problem/request". I think many feature requests are very applicable for more people and they might appreciate such functionality.

Hi Andrej, Thanks for your message. Both of these can be done by commenting on a question. If you want a feature, add a comment, either just +1, or better still, some information on how you'd use the feature, and what would be useful to you. When you comment, you should then receive email notifications when additional answers are submitted. Support Center is not developed in-house, so it's not easy to add these as native features.

well actually my problem is I don't receive emails even for my own issues, like this one - I need to see my issues by hand if there was any update or not. Could it be that emails are sent to my old email address associated with company where I no longer work? I didn't want to delete that email address because I still want to have access to the tickets raised at that time. I can't see if the default email address is the newest one, or the oldest one. But colleague of mine also doesn't get any emails and I'm certain he registered his email address properly, he is just not notified when there are new comments in his issues.

Hi Andrej, I've checked this out and I'm experiencing the same. I've asked the outsourced provider to look at this; I'll let you know if we get a useful response. Might be worth checking your spam folder.

Hi Andrej, We've checked and in fact we only send notifications in a limited set of circumstances. We're going to look at increasing this a little. It just needs some thought as we don't want to overload people - and we need to work out exactly what options the service provides.

Hi Andrej, Thanks for following up. I've checked with desk.com who provide the support center. We're going to look at changing our notification settings to notify the original requester. Unfortunately it's not possible to notify people who have commented on a request. For now, all I can suggest is to use a third-party change monitoring system (e.g. https://changetower.com/) In the future we may bring Support Center in-house and we can look at implementing this feature.
