Support base64 for bit flipper payload

Max | Last updated: Nov 19, 2015 06:14PM UTC

Currently the bit flipper payload can handle ASCII hex or literal values, but often I want to flip bits in a base64 payload. It would be super nice if this were built in!

Thanks for this request. We already have this captured in our backlog. Next time we have a feature push on Intruder, we'll add support for Base64-encoded base values in the bit flipper payload type, and some others. In the meantime, there is a nasty workaround which involves manually converting the Base64 data into ASCII hex representation within the request template, using that option in the payload generator, and adding some payload processing rules to (a) decode the ASCII hex, and (b) perform a Base64 encode.
