Starting Installation fails

Crathen | Last updated: Jun 08, 2021 08:49PM UTC

I have been trying to install the community version for a couple days, with different versions of java. Currently java 11 installed. /Downloads# ./burpsuite_community_linux_v2021_5_2.sh Unpacking JRE ... Starting Installer ... ./burpsuite_community_linux_v2021_5_2.sh: 598: ./burpsuite_community_linux_v2021_5_2.sh: /home/rick/Downloads/burpsuite_community_linux_v2021_5_2.sh.6137.dir/jre/bin/java: Exec format error uname -a Linux Crathen 4.15.0-144-generic #148-Ubuntu SMP Sat May 8 02:32:19 UTC 2021 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux java --version openjdk 11.0.11 2021-04-20 OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 11.0.11+9-Ubuntu-0ubuntu2.18.04) OpenJDK Server VM (build 11.0.11+9-Ubuntu-0ubuntu2.18.04, mixed mode) I have made the .sh executable for all users as well. It looks to me that it is failing with the install wizard, but im not sure. Im fairly new and just trying to learn doing HTB challenges. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I was just in the process of writing a response to mention that! Unfortunately, the later versions of Burp are only supported on 64-bit systems so you would really need to use a machine with 64-bit architecture.

I have now installed a 64-bit OS, i will retry installing. Once i install everything else haha
