Setting default proxy listener port

Hi! We are using Burp in shared environment and would like to set default listening port that would be different for each user. Is this possible in the current version onf Burp? I know in ~/.BurpSuite/UserConfigPro.json are user preferences but I cannot locate (and don't know the pattern) to set the listener port.

Proxy options are a part of project options. If you look in your full project options JSON file (Project > Project options > Save project options), you can find your proxy listeners defined under Proxy and request_listeners.

Hi, Can we edit this json file to change the proxy? Or only the port number? Thank you.

Hi You can edit the full details of the proxy listener here. However, you will still need to load your project options file into Burp, either on the startup of your project or once Burp has been launched (Project > Project options > Load project options).
