Secure Connection Failed Error code: SSL_ERROR_ILLEGAL_PARAMETER_ALERT

MICHAEL | Last updated: Feb 22, 2023 09:39PM UTC

When I proxy my traffic though Burp to a specific URL (Community and PRO) I get an error: "Illegal server name, type=host_name(0), name=xxx.com, value={xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx}" in Burp. My web browser will give the error: Secure connection Failed: An error occurred during a connection to xxxx.com. SSL peer rejected a handshake message for unacceptable content. "SSL_ERROR_ILLEGAL_PARAMETER_ALERT". The Sites SSL Cert appears to be correct and all other sites I visit while proxying my traffic works fine. Also, The site in question has no issue when I navigate to it without my proxy on. I manually created a GET request in repeater and that worked okay. So far I've tried using combinations Windows host, Linux Host, Different Burp suite builds, Firefox, and Chrome. I've also tried re-generating the Burp CA and editing Burp's Proxy Listener TLSProtocals configurations. Nothing has worked.
