Hello, is it possible to work with a project saved from a different client? In a different environment? Thanks

Hi Giovanni, Can you clarify what you mean by 'different client' - do you mean sharing a project file between two different Burp installations that are at the same version, two different Burp installations that are at different versions or something else entirely? Burp project files should be fully portable between different installations of Burp that are at the same version level. If the project file is being shared between Burp installations that are at different version levels then there are some caveats. If the project file has been created in an older version of Burp and is being loaded into a newer version then Burp should, generally speaking, be able to load the project without issue. If the project file has been created in a newer version of Burp and is being loaded into an older version then Burp will attempt to convert it. This conversion process is not always successful and there can be issues in this situation. In either scenario we would always recommend making a backup copy of the project file before attempting any of the above just in case data corruption does occur.
