Save Bambdas in Project/User settings, or import with Montoya

Hi, I feel I may have asked about this before but mainly just want to see if its something on the radar. We have a few company-wide Bambdas, and would like to have these imported by default to each consultant. I can't see Bambdas in user/project options, nor is it possible to import them through Montoya. However, Bambdas do still persist between an individual's Burp projects. How are the Bambdas currently persisted between projects? I would have thought it would be in user settings. If it isn't possible now, could this be considered in future releases? Thanks.

Thanks for getting in touch. If you save a project file with a Bambda applied to, for example, the Proxy History filter, this will be saved with the project file, so the one you were using at the time you closed the file will still be there when you re-open the specific project. If you have a number of Bambdas that you want to share with the team, currently you can export them and share the files. We are considering ways we can expand the way Bambdas can be utilised within Burp, so if you'd like to share more details on your use cases eihter here on the forum or via email, we'd be happy to share them with the team.

Thanks for the reply Michelle. Our use cases would be similar to how BChecks are managed - to be able to import them (through Montoya or project options), and also say which ones are on/off. The Bambdas here refer to the ones used in HTTP History tables. E.g. we would by default want a Bambda column on that table to show any incorrect content types, but other niche bambdas (say technology-specific ones), we would want in the burp project by default, but not necessarily switched on. Another nice feature might be to have some saved searches in the search Bambdas. And similarly be able to save them. Thank you!
