REST API. After Scan: Task ID not found

Hello, Burp Suite Professional 2022.7.1 While accessing the Burp Rest API http://127.0.0.1:1337/key/v0.1/scan/task_id, getting HTTP 400: {"type":"ClientError","error":"Task ID not found"}. We cross-checked in Dashboard, and the Task ID is correct.

Hi, Just to confirm, has this particular scan been initiated through the UI or through the REST API? In addition to the above, has Burp been closed and reopened at any point between the scan having been initiated and the REST API call being made?

Hi, The scan has been initiated through the UI. No burp did not close and reopen at any point between the scan and the REST API call.

Hi, Unfortunately, there is a limitation in the way this works. Currently, the details of scans initiated through the UI cannot then be retrieved through the REST API - only the details of scans initiated through the REST API can be retrieved by the REST API. We do have an existing bug report for this limitation so I can certainly add your ticket to this report so that our developers can accurately monitor how many users are impacted by this. We will also update this forum thread if and when this limitation is resolved in a future version of Burp.
