Response size and time (statistics / metadata) about responses

noraj | Last updated: Jul 08, 2024 02:07PM UTC

In the Repeater, we have useful information: - total response size (in bytes) - response time (duration between request sent and response received in ms) I would be nice to have those data anywhere in Burp and not just on the Reapeater. Especially in the Proxy History. Maybe response time requires storing additional data, but response size can be calculated from the response. Maybe in the Inspector or in a response tab (or somewhere else more suite) could there be some statistics total response size, response headers size, response body size, response time, and maybe other useful metadata.

Hi Noraj, The HTTP history section in Burp does already contain the length of the response in bytes as well as the ability to display the start response and end response times. It sounds like this would cover some of what you are looking for - the following documentation details the current options available to you: https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/desktop/tools/proxy/http-history
