Recover project file

Burp recently crashed (unattended) while I had a project open. Any attempts to open my project file I get "An error occurred when start a project with the selected options. Could not open file: ..." I have the burp project file, burp.backup and burp.backup.temp_[date] files. They are all identical in file size. Project files were being written and stored on a mapped drive. OS: Kali Linux (VM) Is there any way to recover my proxy history?

Just to add, I've tried opening all three files.

Thanks for your message. When you try to open the file, if you select 'Use Burp defaults' instead of 'Use options save with project' are you able to open the file? This would mean you lose any customized project options you had set but if this allows you to re-open the file any customized options could potentially then be reconfigured afterwards.
