Recorded login sequence issues

Aaron | Last updated: Oct 08, 2021 03:31PM UTC

Hello, I am attempting to create and use a recorded login sequence in a scan in my enterprise trial edition burp suite. I recorded the record sequence using the chrome extension and added it as the login sequence as detailed in the documentation here: https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/desktop/scanning/recorded-logins The documentation says that there is a way to test/replay a recorded login sequence in the embedded browser. I do not see this option anywhere and was curious if anyone had any direction they could point me in. The errors noted in the event log: 1. Failed to replay sequence base-user-edit - unexpected issue while navigating to https://****/ 2. Failed to replay sequence base-user-edit - unable to find Element Things that I've tried: -The Burp suite instance(on jenkins) was configured to have 4 Cores/16GB ram to satisfy the 2 CPU cores and 8 GB RAM requirement stated as the recommended specification for browser powered scanning. -The configuration has the embedded browser force enabled regardless of system requirements. Thank you, Aaron

Hi Aaron, Thanks for your post. Firstly, the document link you have provided relates to Burp Suite Pro rather than Enterprise. I've linked the Enterprise application logins documentation below: https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/enterprise/working/sites/application-logins Whilst the reply feature is available in Pro, it is not yet available in Enterprise. We are planning to add this feature to Enterprise in a future release. In regards to your errors, I would advise you check the limitations for recorded login sequence in the link above. If none of these apply to your use case, you can provide your support pack and scan logs to support@portswigger.net and we shall take a look for you. It would also be useful if you could include some additional information about the login form in your email. https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/enterprise/troubleshooting Thanks
