Programmatically Open Burp files and run in-built functions

Mohamed | Last updated: Jul 24, 2023 05:32PM UTC

Hello team, We have Burp Pro license. I would like to programmatically open some .burp files that we have run the in-built "Analyze target" functionality to create reports automatically. Also, to programmatically open the Burp file and export in-scope proxy traffic in order to process it further. I am having a challenge finding documentation on how I can achieve this. Could you kindly assist in this regard? Thanks

Hi Mohamed Can you please explain further what you mean when you say 'programmatically open Burp files' please?

"Programmatically" as in through code (Python or Java). Basically, as I have explained my requirement is 1. To run the in-built function "Analyze target" in order to export report about in-scope domains. 2. To export in-scope proxy history to process it further. Like read the request body and response headers etc. I want to perform this action in a number of Burp file and I cannot open each Burp file manually to do these tasks. I would like to achieve this through an automated process. Hope it helps, but I would be happy to clarify any questions you may have. Thanks for your time.
