Programatic health check for Collaborator polling

Hi, I'd like to write a small script that gets cron'ed to check the polling health of burp collaborator for my job's private server. Polling goes down occasionally for consultants and I want to have it restart when I see that haead of time. Can you give me an example of a request I can send to my server's polling address so that I can proactively check if polling works? visiting the polling address alone just gives a 404

Hi Although when you connect to the polling address, you get a 404 response, this is still an indicator that the collaborator server is running, so checking for this would still work for confirming the server was alive. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Michelle, thanks for the reply! Is it possible to know how to perform the healthcheck myself? I imagine its done via some simple HTTP requests?

Hi When Burp polls the collaborator server, the request sent is specific to the instance of Burp that has sent it. Could you drop an email to support@portswigger.net with a few more details about your setup and what you'd like to achieve?
