Not sure but looks like portswigger.net is not reachable from my company network, is there any way I can do an offline activation? Regards! Gaurav

Hi Gaurav, Unfortunately, at the moment Burp Enterprise requires a connection to portswigger.net on port 443 in order to carry out license activation and perform updates. It is worth mentioning that this connection does not need to be permanent (once the activation has taken place, it can be switched off) but it is a definitive requirement. Do you use a LAN proxy within your organization in order to access the internet or are all outside connections disabled? If it is the former, you can configure settings within Burp Enterprise that will send the activation requests via a proxy server. We have had other customers ask for an offline activation process so we do have a feature request in our development backlog to implement this. I cannot provide an absolute ETA but we hope to have this implemented at some point next quarter. I will add your ticket to the existing feature request so that the Burp Enterprise developers can prioritize their resources based upon demand and you will also be informed if this feature is included in a future release. Please let us know if you require any further information. Cheers Ben Wright Technical Product Specialist PortSwigger Web Security

Hi After careful consideration, we have decided not to add an offline activation feature for Burp Suite Enterprise. Please let us know if you need any further assistance. Cheers Liam Tai-Hogan PortSwigger Web Security
