Hello all, I use Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (with gnome 3). I have downloaded the last version (30 august 2024) which is burpsuite_community_linux_v2024_7_5.sh When I click on the "open browser" button, nothing happens. Any idea? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BURP PROPERTIES --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Burp Version 2024.7.5 Build Number 31789 Product Name Burp Suite Community Edition Burp Browser [version=127.0.6533.99, installationPath=/home/nicolas/BurpSuiteCommunity/burpbrowser/127.0.6533.99] Code source /home/nicolas/BurpSuiteCommunity/burpsuite_community.jar Debug ID 4oxa6ym3nrdnqa79t40c:qac6 JAR type Installer currenttimemillis 1725619490176 nanotime 20730541777438 superuser false Thanks

Hi Nicolas, This is an issue with how Ubuntu handles unprivileged user namespaces - you can find out more details about this below: https://ubuntu.com/blog/ubuntu-23-10-restricted-unprivileged-user-namespaces Our suggested approach would be to add the following content to "/etc/apparmor.d/burpbrowser": # This profile allows everything and only exists to give the # application a name instead of having the label "unconfined" abi <abi/4.0>, include <tunables/global> profile burp-browser @{HOME}/BurpSuitePro/burpbrowser/*/chrome flags=(unconfined) { userns, # Site-specific additions and overrides. See local/README for details. include if exists <local/burpbrowser> } Then running `sudo apparmor_parser -r /etc/apparmor.d/burpbrowser` You may need to double-check that your browser path is accurate for your installation.
