no details for proxy history

In my case, the proxy history are logged correctly for each internet request. But when I click on the request, there is no Request Raw(or Hex) showing in the bottom panel. The filter is "showing all items". Can someone help?

What version of Burp are you using? Do you see any error messages in the Alerts tab?

It's Free Edition v1.6. No error message on the Alerts tab.

This sounds rather odd. Is this happening all the time or only for some apps? I assume you've tried restarting Burp? Even maybe reinstalling Java?
