mqtt message loss

Alexandre | Last updated: Sep 15, 2022 08:06AM UTC

Hello, I use Burp Suite Pro 2022.8.4 to intercept MQTT over Websocket. Broker sends "restart" command, the client sends "reply" and closes the connection. Burp often fails to intercept and relay that "reply" message. I have tested the same with mitmproxy and have no issues there. Best regards, Alex

Thanks for getting in touch. We'd like to gather a bit more information on this one so we can take a closer look at it for you. Could you send an email to support@portswigger.net with some screenshots or a screen recording showing what you see in Burp and what the messages look like when you send them via mitmproxy, please? Is it always the same type of message that Burp fails to intercept?
