Mouse over automatic decoding

Hi, It could be cool to have an automatic decoding (e.g: base64 decode) when you move your mouse over an encoded value anywhere in the tool (instead of selecting it, right-click on send to decoder, etc...). I know, i'm lazy... and this enhancement could speed up things a lot when playing with some app. But I don't know how much work this small FR needs. Davy

Did you know you can select text and use hotkeys to do an encode / decode? Look at the sub-items under "Convert selection" on the context menu. If the context is non-editable, Burp will show a popup with the modified text. If editable, it will change it in-place, but you can ctrl+Z to undo the change. This still involves some keystrokes but its quicker than sending to Decoder.

Thanks Dafydd for your answer. You're right, this way it can save one step (3 actions instead of 4). Of course I can live with that, but if you could, one day, think about this auto decoding using mouse hover it could add a bit of magic in burp ! Davy

Unfortunately, this isn't a feature we're likely to add. We think the current functionality is appropriate.
