Memory usage is extreme after 2021.8 update

Hello I'm using burp pro and after updating to 2021.8 the memory limit maxes out within seconds. I am not running any extensions and I am testing a domain (with only 4 URLS) that I was testing with no problem before the update (the memory usage would hover around 400mb but now it shoots to 4.3GB in seconds and just freezes constantly).
