Match & Replace for Websockets

I know there was a post about it a few years ago, but I want to suggest this again: Match & Replace for Websockets. I know I can send them to the repeater and change from there, but I'm testing an application that has a timeout and lots of things are needed to be changed in this small timeout window, so Repeater won't help me here so much, also not the edit-on-the-fly option (while intercepting). Also, I'm aware of the extension be evilwan.be, but it crashes my burp (newest version as of today). Is that something that can be added? Thanks.
