Hi, I have added an additional activation onto your license - can you try this again and check to see if this now works for you?

HI Ben, Thanks for the additional activation on the license. I was able to activate it now. However just a quick query on how many activations we can perform for a single user license as i keep using different VMs for testing. Thanks

Hi, For Burp Suite Professional licenses the activations are monitored over time, so you will have a number of activations based on your previous usage, and as the year progresses additional activations will be made available to account for the fact that you may need to reinstall/set up new environments. At any stage, we can provide additional activations if the activation limit is reached. The only other consideration with Burp Professional is that the licensing model is carried out on a per-user basis - with a user being defined as an individual person. You just need to ensure that your license covers the total number of individual people that are going to be using Burp i.e. your current one-user license would allow for one individual person to use Burp. If another user was required to use Burp within your organization then you would need to purchase an additional license for them to still be inline with our licensing terms.

Hi, We bought the burpsuite professional since May 2022. We have purchased 3 units of license for 3-years (i.e. license expires on May 2025). We have been using the software without any issues until recently. When we try to use the burpsuite professional again recently, the software prompted me to enter the license key again. When I enter the license key and try to activate the license again, the software indicated "activation failed". Is there a need to regenerate another license key for burpsuite professional in order for us to use the software again?

Hi Jonathan, We have moved to a new mandatory system which means that you, as the account holder, need to invite all users to join your team - you will each then get your own new license key. Please be advised we have sent many advising you that the key would be cut off on 24th May in the hope that you would do this ahead of the current keys being disabled. You will need to carry out the following directions - Log into the PortSwigger account Click on the Invite Your Team located on the Burp Suite Professional subscription Invite your team members by adding the email addresses of each user Each of you will then get your own new license key to use.
