Make target scope lines clickable

Peter | Last updated: Aug 30, 2016 02:53PM UTC

Hi, I'm using Burp Suite Professional v.1.7.05 When visiting Target | Scope, you see a list of targets in scope. Currently only the Enabled column is clickable (it toggles the checkbox). It would be great if you could click on the other columns (Protocol / Host / IP range / Port / File) as well, and that then the Edit action would be triggered. Thanks, Peter

You need to select the line in the table and then click the "edit" button. This is the interaction pattern we've followed throughout Burp's configuration UI.

Hi, I know that you can use the Edit button - however, I think it would be more user-friendly if you could click as well... Would that be an option ? Cheers, Peter

One problem is that "Edit" isn't the only option. In other situations, you can select an item in a configuration list and do "Up", "Down", or "Duplicate". These wouldn't work well if simply selecting an item caused the edit dialog to open. So we're going to stick with the current interaction pattern.
