Jython File error

While installing Jython standalone version 2.7.2 (and older versions), I get the error "Invalid JSON configuration found at: P > > > K[] < < < [] []� Pu - Unexpected "PK[0x03]" from [line 1, column 1] to [line 1, column 3]" I followed the instructions where you go to extender, options, and pointed to the location of this jython standalone jar file under the python environment section. I have tried multiple versions/different jar files, but each one pops up the same error.
