Java crypto policy files overwritten on upgrade

I'm testing a site which requires the alternative Java crypto policy files, I put them in place but after a Burp upgrade they were put back to the original ones. Left me confused as to why I could no longer access the site. It would be nice to be able to place them somewhere and reference them rather than having them overwritten.

Thanks for this feedback. You're right that the private JRE that is bundled with the Burp installers is completely replaced when you perform an update. We would suggest that if you need to make custom changes like this to your JRE then you install your own and run Burp using the plain JAR file. Otherwise, if you prefer to use the platform installers, create a quick script that performs your customizations and which you can run after each Burp upgrade.

OK, as long as it is deliberate then I'll put a work around in for it.
