Thanks for getting in touch. Can you clarify the details of what you need to set up? Do you need to configure Burp to use an upstream proxy server or are you looking to change some settings on Burp's own proxy listener?

Hello, I am looking to set a specific proxy host in the proxy listener. I am trying to test the curl command in terminal without declaring the proxy nor the environment variables, i.e. without --proxy proxy:port nor export http_proxy=proxy:port. I am new to upstream proxy server, will this work in my case? Also, I have a working transparent http proxy that I'd like to use. Thank you. :)

Hi So we can help you with your configuration can you describe the scenario you are trying to set up, please? - Will you just be using curl to send requests or will you also be using a browser? - Do you want the requests to go from curl straight to Burp? - Does Burp have direct access to the internet so that once the requests leave Burp, they will go directly to the target server you are testing?
