Intercept Local host sites

Rithesh | Last updated: Jun 11, 2020 01:45PM UTC

Hello , I am trying to intercept the traffic originating from visual studio - this is more intended for addressing the flaws identified in the site. I have configured the IE exactly as how you have explained your article and the Burp suite is also configured in the same fashion. This also helped me to intercept the external sites. But when i tried to intercept the local host site traffic - In IE - nothing seems to happen. Can you help on what i am missing here. Thank you, Rithesh Krishnan

Hi Rithesh, I would suggest using Firefox because you can very easily configure the proxy. Can you try that out and let us know how you get on? - https://portswigger.net/support/installing-burp-suites-ca-certificate-in-firefox - https://portswigger.net/support/configuring-firefox-to-work-with-burp Are you seeing any proxy traffic at all in Burp?

New local host sites are creating issues as the conection is not getting established. I was unable to set up a host for https://www.sybariticbags.com/product/aztec-color-block-long-sleeve-t-shirt/ but could not make it.

Hi Rocky, Can you please email support@portswigger.net with the information below? - Diagnostics (Help > Diagnostics) - Any errors in the Event log when you attempt to access the site - Are you using the embedded browser? Or an external one? Does the issue persist in both? - Screenshots of your proxy configuration and scope settings in Burp
