Installation of BurpSuite Professional

I was wondering if anyone knows what to do to fix the proxy host and port if BurpSuite Pro with a license is installed manually and is not set up with the host address or the port? My trial license expired so have to re-install with a license. I assumed using chromium would just enable proxy settings since burpsuite works with the browser. But the intercept does not work with sending the page to the repeater. I've tried to re-install with the host and port recommended and tried to regenerate the TLS certificate in the browser, but it gets into an endless loop and I cannot use the proxy. Any suggestions on how to fix? I'm sure its something pretty simple I am missing. So I thought I'd post here for some suggestions on how to fix.
