HTTP History no longer displays additional content when cleared

I'm new with Burp and trying to start a fresh list of HTTP History after each lab in web-security-academy.net. This way I'm not getting overwhelmed with data or mixing data with labs. However, once I select "Clear History" and open any new pages or websites, I do not see anything being populated in the HTTP History window. The only way I can see HTTP History is to close out Burp and open it up again. Is there a way to clear unwanted HTTP History and see new HTTP History in the same session?

After closer inspection this was a Layer 8 issue on my end.
