How to setup 'iptables' to redirect traffic to burp proxy?

Anass | Last updated: Nov 09, 2022 08:39PM UTC

Hello, I am using Ubuntu and I would like to know how to setup 'iptables' to redirect traffic to burp proxy? I'd like to test a non-proxy aware thick client, do I need to enable Invisible Proxying? - https://portswigger.net/support/using-burp-suites-invisible-proxy-settings-to-test-a-non-proxy-aware-thick-client-application

Hi, Is there a reason for wanting to use iptables instead of modifying the the DNS resolution on your machine? You will need to enable invisible proxy mode in order to do this. The following is our updated document detailing how to setup invisible proxying for non-proxy aware clients: https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/desktop/tools/proxy/options/invisible

Thank you for suggesting "modifying DNS resolution". The hostname I am trying to test requires entering a username and password. How can I enter my credentials?
