How do I intercept phone traffic from another network or over a vpn

moezema | Last updated: May 27, 2020 01:52PM UTC

I am using iPhone to intercept my traffic on local network only, during my tests I am required to use a VPN so that i can access certain contents but i cant use vpn while connected to burpsuite's proxy. I have tried to create my own vpn server that allows connected devices to be on the same local network, My burpsuite mobile assistant successfully recognized my PC on the same network like in this screenshot (https://prnt.sc/sospsv) but unfortunately it couldn't connect to my PC proxy as it says in the previous screenshot "proxy not enabled". I have also tried to connect my iPhone with the VPS again it succeeded to recognize burpsuite's network but not the proxy also tried to enable invisible proxying but still failed

This kind of scenario can be tricky to set up, and Burp does not provide a point and click solution, although you usually can get this working. The general approach is to install the VPN client on the system running Burp. This can be confounded if the VPN enforces full tunnel mode. If it does, the easiest workaround is to ask the VPN administrator to disable that for you.

How about 'Torguard VPN' then? Have you tested that VPN and have any inputs on it like you had on these?

I suggest you read more in this article https://webguidevpn.com/tunnelbear-vpn/

We haven't tested Torguard VPN. Are you having an issue with it?
