How do i fix Connection Refused: No further information

Hi all, My burp pro does not work when using it with the socks proxy, but works fine without. However i need to use the socks proxy for work. Whenever i try to browse anywhere with socks proxy enabled i get the message: 'Connection Refused: No further information' However in the Event log it states that it is using the socks proxy for all outgoing requests. Previously this issue was due to using a port that was already in use on my socks proxy host however this doesn't seem to be the problem this time. I have also tried resetting my certificate in Firefox but this doesn't help.

Hi Can you please email support@portswigger.net with a screenshot of the settings you have configured under Settings > Network > Connections > SOCKS proxy? Do you see this message for all sites and when using Burp's embedded browser? Are any additional messages displayed in the Event Log on Burp's Dashboard?

thanks, I have sent the email with the screenshots. This error is occurring for all websites and within the embedded browser. The only messages in the event log are that the proxy has started on 127.0.0.1:8080 and the socks proxy is running to send out all outgoing requests on 172.31.100.1:9603. All other messages are comminucation error or connection refused. Thanks
