This looks like a problem with either the display drivers or the virtualization. We would suggest updating the following components to see if it fixes the problem: 1. Java 2. VMWare tools 3. VMWare Workstation

I have now updated and still have the same issue, VMWare version: 11.1.4 VMWare tools version: 9.9.5 Java version: 8 update 101 System Type: x64-based PC OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OS Version: 10.0.10586 N/A Build 10586 Burp version: 1.7.05 :(

According to VMWare's guest OS compatibility guide, it looks like Windows 10 guests might only be fully supported on version 12: http://partnerweb.vmware.com/comp_guide2/pdf/VMware_GOS_Compatibility_Guide.pdf It's not clear that this is the cause of the problem, but upgrading VMWare to a compatible version might help.

I have the same issue on Ubuntu 16.04, not virtualised.
