Get Spider Status thru API

I don't think, there is a way we can get the status of Spider tool thru API. Is this something that can be done in future updates?

You're right, there isn't currently a way to do this. We are planning some enhancements to the Spider, and in particular much improved support for driving it in an automated way. This will include provision of some new APIs for monitoring and controlling the Spider. We can't currently promise an ETA, but we are hoping to have some progress in this area within the coming six months.

Hi Glenn, Thanks for following up. There has been enormous progress internally on the new Spider. Unfortunately, new APIs are still some way away.

~1.5 years on, do we have any progress in this area? It still doesn't look like we have much better API's available to us.
