Extender API broken link

Hi, the extender page (https://portswigger.net/burp/extender/) has a link to a 2012 post titled "Writing your first Burp Suite extension" at http://blog.portswigger.net/2012/12/writing-your-first-burp-extension.html which has a link with the text "Download the Burp Extender interface files" but that points to https://portswigger.net/burp/extender/api/burp_extender_api.zip which gives a 404 Not Found error. What's the official/canonical URL for that ZIP file? Can you update the post to include it? I know it's a 2012 post, but if it includes outdated information, please don't link it in the official extender page, as it'd be misleading to developers. Cheers, dnet

Thanks for pointing this out. A while ago, we added a feature within Burp that lets you save out the current version of the interface files (at Extender / APIs / Save interface files). This is the best place to obtain the interface files to ensure you have the current versions for the release of Burp you are using. We've updated the 2012 blog post to reflect this, and removed the dead link to the old ZIP archive.
