Hi Muhammad, Thanks for reporting this. Can you please share the steps to replicate this? Which OS are you using? Which version of Burp are you attempting to install? Are you using the platform installer (e.g. .sh script for Linux or .exe for Windows)? Or are you using the standalone JAR? What is the output of 'java -version'?

Im using Linux tried to run burpsuite_community_v2021.10.2.jar file on ... java -version openjdk version "17-internal" 2021-09-14 OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 17-internal+0-adhoc..src) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 17-internal+0-adhoc..src, mixed mode) ... But it just show the same error

@Ivam3, have you tried Open JDK 17 from here? Does that fail too?

Can you share a screen recording of your issue along with diagnostics (add the --diagnostics command-line parameter) to support@portswigger.net?

@Muhammad I got the same error when my default java was 13 and i change it to jdk 14 and it's working completely fine. sudo apt install openjdk-14-jdk Change the default java to 14. sudo update-alternatives --config java

Well I had to downgrade my java environment from 13(java-13-openjdk-amd64) to version 11(java-11-openjdk-amd6) before I was able to run Burpsuite.That worked for me

Hi Etta, What version of Burp were you having issues running with Java 13? Can you also confirm what operating system you are using?
