Error message

I get this error when loading Burp with a stored project. Update blocked An update is available, but we are unable to install it because your Burp Suite installation directory /Applications/Burp Suite Professional.app, or one or more of its subdirectories, contains Burp project (burp) files. Running the installer would permanently delete these files. Please move any burp files out of your installation directory tree, then go to Help > Check for updates to try again. I can delete .burp files from the app directories yes, but they are always recreated when loading burp with a project. The only way I found to get around this is to start burp with a temporary project and then the error doesn't appear. I then click on check for updates, but it says: Burp up to date

I think I found the problem. New projects on file seem to be save by default into one of the Application folders of the Burp App on Mac. That causes the issue. If you choose another file path on disk outside the app itself it works normal.

I can not find the .burp files it refers to on my MacBook, so I can't remove them
