Enterprise - Scan configuration deletion of active config causes an inoperable site

Justin | Last updated: Jan 29, 2021 02:59PM UTC

If you delete a scan configuration that is currently associated with a site and a scan is running for that site, then cancel the scan, you can no longer edit the site to change the configurations. I am getting this error. Whoops - something bad happened TypeError: Cannot read property 'get' of undefined TypeError: Cannot read property 'get' of undefined at hasHelp (http://localhost:8080/static/js/bews.cf8c0b9770046b2892aa.js:383:1438197) at http://localhost:8080/static/js/bews.cf8c0b9770046b2892aa.js:383:1427246 at Array.map (<anonymous>) at E9 (http://localhost:8080/static/js/bews.cf8c0b9770046b2892aa.js:383:1427201) at Fa (http://localhost:8080/static/js/bews.cf8c0b9770046b2892aa.js:351:55394) at Zs (http://localhost:8080/static/js/bews.cf8c0b9770046b2892aa.js:351:98337) at Ws (http://localhost:8080/static/js/bews.cf8c0b9770046b2892aa.js:351:83961) at Hs (http://localhost:8080/static/js/bews.cf8c0b9770046b2892aa.js:351:80986) at Ds (http://localhost:8080/static/js/bews.cf8c0b9770046b2892aa.js:351:79557) at http://localhost:8080/static/js/bews.cf8c0b9770046b2892aa.js:351:41811

Was the scan configuration linked to the site to be used as a default configuration? If you know the name of the configuration that was used then if you create a new scan configuration with the same name as the original one then that should hopefully allow you to edit the site again and cleanly remove the custom scan configuration. When deleting a configuration you should get a warning to let you know it is in use, if you don't see these warnings can you confirm the version of Enterprise you are using, please? I hope this helps, please let us know how you get on.

I did get a warning and continued. The site should still be able to be edited to add a new config, and currently, it gets dorked.

Thanks for confirming those details. We've raised this with the developers and linked this thread so we can let you know when there's an update. Were you able to use the workaround so you can edit the site again in the meantime?

I ended up trashing the site and creating a new one. This means I lost the history of the vuln scans but was aware of the implications before I made that decision.

Thanks for the feedback, Justin. This has now been fixed in the latest version - 2021.3. Can you please update and let us know if the issue persists?
