Drop down menu bug

Manon | Last updated: Nov 02, 2017 03:05PM UTC

In some cases, when burp presents a drop down menu with previous used values (for example when filling in the Fixed time trottle in the options of intruder), the white "block" which is an empty drop down menu does not dissapear after filling in or clicking somewhere else. This white blocks stay in front of the screen until you quit burp, which is really annoying if you have to read the value at that location, or click something "underneath" it. You only option is then to drag the burp screen to the side to be able to click/read it. In the course of testing, multiple of these empty ghost dropdowns can appear. I am using Burpsuite pro 1.7.27 on kali using openjdk 1.8.0.

Hi Manon, Thanks for your message. There are a number of issues running Burp on OpenJDK. Instead, use the Burp Linux Installer, which has Oracle Java embedded. - https://portswigger.net/burp/freedownload Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

I was mistaken, I am already using oracle java (I got the above info by looking at java -version, instead of the java version embedded with the installer) I am already using the installer (you mean the .sh file right, instead of the .jar), and starting it with the command BurpSuitePro. When looking at the "burp suite diagnostics", it does say oracle as the vendor. So the problem cannot be openjdk related, right?
