Delete old items from "Issue Activity" list

Jen | Last updated: Jan 05, 2023 09:25PM UTC

I'm not sure how long this hasn't been available, however, in another forum post: https://forum.portswigger.net/thread/delete-old-items-from-issue-activity-list-1f620544 This is a request that's been needed from several users for 2 years. Please just implement this already! My reason: I'd rather not see older requests I've made in the activity list and want to delete those, so I can see a fresh set of issues. Why: There are bug fixes we've done to resolve vulnerabilities, and I want to start fresh with a new list.

Hi Jen, thanks for your request. Our product team has the following question - Would additional filter options be helpful, or do you need a way to remove the issue altogether?

Plus one to this. We should be able to right-click in any finding in the "issue activity" dashboard view and simply delete them. This has been annoying and counter-intuitive for several years now. Please address this simple request. thank you

Hi Thanks for getting in touch. We have been discussing ways this could be achieved with our product team, and we're trying to gather some more information on exactly how people would like to see this work. Would additional filter options allow you to achieve your aims, or do you need to be able to delete all traces of items? If you need to delete items altogether, can you tell us more about why this would be better than filtering the issues?

I would also like this functionality. To answer your question Michelle, Filtering out by highlighted colour or date would work as a temporary solution, and a comparison report for these filters may provide added benefit as a permanent solution. Another possible option would be to link the issue activity with the task, so when you select Live audit it has its own issue activity window, Live passive crawl has its own and any new scans or new live tasks maintain their own issue activity. The idea there would be to allow the issue activity to be deleted when the task or scan is deleted. Hope that helps the product team. Thanks! -Robert

Thanks :) We'll pass that information on to the team.
