Decoder Tabs

The decoder tool should have tabs like most of the other tools. It would be very useful to use one tab to decode and another to encode. I also think it would be useful if burp didn't clear the chain of decoders when you type input into the first box, for example, I should be able to select "decode as URL" in the first box, then, in the second "decode as base64", when I enter text into the first box, it should do a URL decode, then a base64 decode -- At the moment, it will remove the base64 decode, which means I need to reselect it each time I enter text into the first box.

Thanks for this. We do have these feature requests logged in our backlog. Next time we carry out any extensive work on the Decoder tool, we'll do our best to incorporate them. In the meantime, have a look at the Hackvertor extension in the BApp Store, which performs various transcoding functions and is generally capable then Burp Decoder.

Thanks for your input Sean. We've added your suggestion to our development backlog.

Just beginning with Burp and had the same suggestion: don't reset the selection in Decoder. Maybe it's something you get used to, but when chaining multiple decode/encodes, it's difficult to keep track of what was done. Would be nice to be able to look and see what was done.
