Create an SSL cert with Certbot for a private collaborator server

Mark | Last updated: Jun 05, 2021 11:23PM UTC

I'd like to use Certbot to create a SSL cert for a private collaborator server on my domain. I can't use a Self Signed because I'm testing servers that I don't have write access to. Best I can tell I need to use the webroot option however when I run the below.. certbot certonly --webroot -w /var/www/bc.mydomain -d bc.mydomain I get: Invalid response from http://bc.mydomain/.well-known/acme-challenge/5sFLSIJ9WdTv Thanks

We've just replied to your email, we've sent you a couple of links to show how a private Collaborator Server can be set up to respond to domain verification requests (either custom HTTP content or custom DNS records) https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/collaborator/deploying#add-custom-http-content https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/collaborator/deploying#add-custom-dns-records I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions.
