CPU and RAM in 2020.2.1 on Windows 10

Hello, Since upgrading to the new way of scanning I've had lots of issues with resource. I was hoping the current upgrade might have fixed it, but it's just getting worse. I only have a few extensions enabled with I've used for years and I really don;t want to disable as I need to keep testing. My debug ID is n1w2y0tsaq4mzbja2c8a:5r9h In the dashboard Burp says it's using 531.2 MB, however it is really using 1727MB and around 50% of CPU, without any active scanning/crawling. I've left it overnight and it's still using that much. This is a test I've been doing for a while, but it's just getting really unusable and I really don't want to have multiple Burp projects for the same test. Thanks in advance for your help. Mark

Mark, thanks for your message. The number in the Dashboard footer is the active memory currently being used. The second number is what the JVM has requested. This isn't what Burp is currently using. You can restrict this number by running Burp from the command line: -Xmx2G - Limit Burp's heap size to 2GB - https://portswigger.net/support/using-burp-suites-command-line-arguments Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
