Configuring Burp Pro on machines without GUI

Jeevesh | Last updated: Aug 29, 2024 05:28AM UTC

Hi team, Is there a way to activate burp pro license on a linux instance which doesn't have a GUI?

Hi Jeevesh, If your system does not have a GUI, then you will need to launch Burp in headless mode. You can find instructions for launching Burp from the command-line here: https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/desktop/troubleshooting/launch-from-command-line When you launch Burp, you should receive prompts on the command line to activate Burp Suite Pro. Simply follow the steps described in the command line. it should be noted that you will be very limited in Burp's usage through the command line. You will not be able to use any of the manual testing tools, or other tools that require input from the user interface.
